Booking a Session

Add a session yourself, for example for a student who called you directly or for your own practice.

Before You Start

Your profile must be live. Until it is, New session shows your profile's status and says Sessions can't be added until your profile is live. See Getting Started.

Starting

  1. Tap Sessions in the bottom bar.
  2. Tap the orange + button (New Session on desktop).

A four-step wizard opens. Tap the back arrow to go back a step, or X to discard the session. Tap Summary at the bottom to see the Session summary so far.

Step 1: Where Is the Session?

Step 1 with Somewhere else selected and a venue name typed in
Somewhere else

My venues lists the BookMyCourt venues where you can book a space in a sport you teach. Tap a space chip to pick it. Each chip shows the space, sport and hourly price. Use the search box to filter by venue, space or sport.

A venue appears here when it's Open to any coach, or when it's Invite only and has you on its list. See Getting Bookable at Venues.

If you see No venues available, no venue currently lets you book a space in your sports. Use Somewhere else meanwhile.

Somewhere else is for places not on BookMyCourt, such as a school ground. Type a Venue name. No space is reserved, but the session still blocks your calendar.

Step 2: Pick a Date & Time

Calendar with a date picked and a notice: You are not available on this day
Pick the date
Start time grid with 17:00 and 18:00 selected and a 2 hr duration
Start time and duration
  1. Tap a date. Past dates can't be picked.
  2. Tap a Start time. Busy hours are greyed out and crossed through.
  3. Tap a Duration (1 hr to 4 hr). Lengths that would run into a busy hour can't be picked.

At a BookMyCourt venue, the times are the space's open hours, minus any hour the space is taken or you're booked elsewhere. Each duration shows the space price. If you pick a day you're off or have blocked, a notice says so. You can still book, and it doesn't change your hours or remove your time off.

Somewhere else, the times are your own weekly hours. Turn on Show all hours to book outside them, for example on a day off.

Step 3: Who Are You Coaching?

Step 3 with With a student selected and first name, last name and phone filled in
Adding a student
  • Just me: solo practice. No coaching fee is recorded.
  • With a student: enter a First name and Phone (both required) and an optional Last name. Your fee is recorded for the session.

Step 4: Review & Confirm

Review step with payment method, venue charge and your fee
Review & confirm

Check the venue, space, date, time and student. Then:

  1. At a BookMyCourt venue, choose the Payment method for the space: Pay at venue or Already paid.
  2. Check the Venue charge: the space price plus any tax, shown as Total at venue.
  3. Check Your fee: your rate for the space's sport times the hours (your lowest rate for a session somewhere else). You collect it yourself. It isn't part of the venue total.
  4. Tap Confirm session.

Somewhere else there's no venue charge, so the review shows only your fee.

The session appears in Sessions as Upcoming, marked Added by you. At a BookMyCourt venue it also appears in the venue's bookings, so the owner knows the space is taken.
