Getting Bookable at Venues

Venues is where you choose the BookMyCourt venues you teach at. A venue shows on your public page once you and the owner both agree.

Opening It​

  • Phone: tap More in the bottom bar, then Venues.
  • Desktop: click Venues in the sidebar.

A number on Venues means a venue has invited you.

Each Venue's Coach Setting​

Every venue owner picks one of three settings. You can't change it.

  • Invite only (the default for venues): the owner approves each coach. Ask to teach there, or accept the owner's invite.
  • Open to any coach: no approval needed. Add the venue to your page whenever you like, and the owner is told.
  • Coaches off: players can't add a coach when booking there. These venues don't appear in Find venues.

The Four Tabs​

  • On my page: venues players see on your page and can book you at.
  • Requests: requests you've sent that are waiting for a reply, and invites waiting for you.
  • Find venues: venues with a space in a sport you teach that you haven't joined yet. Search by name or area, or filter by sport.
  • Declined: requests the owner declined and invites you declined.

Each card shows the venue's spaces in your sports, with the lowest hourly price. Tap a card for photos, every space and price, opening hours, amenities and Who can teach here.

Asking to Teach at a Venue​

  1. Open Find venues.
  2. On an Invite only venue, tap Ask to teach here.
  3. Add a Note for the owner (optional), for example which groups you'd run.
  4. Tap Send request.

The owner gets your request with your profile, rates and reviews. The venue moves to Requests with the badge Waiting for reply. Tap Withdraw to take the request back.

A request the owner hasn't answered within 30 days expires. You get a notification, and you can ask again.

When the owner approves, the venue moves to On my page. If they decline, it moves to Declined with their reason, if they gave one. Only the owner can let you ask again after that, or they can invite you.

On an Open to any coach venue, tap Add to my page instead. It goes on your page straight away.

When a Venue Invites You​

Invites show in a banner at the top of Venues, such as Ananda College invited you.

  • Tap Accept, then Accept invite. The venue goes on your page straight away.
  • Or tap View (or find it under Requests), tap Decline, then Decline invite. It moves to Declined, and you can still ask to teach there later.

Status Badges​

  • On your page: players can book you there.
  • Hidden from players: you're approved, but the venue has no bookable space in your sports right now, or it turned coaches off.
  • Waiting for reply: you asked and the owner hasn't answered.
  • Invited you: the owner invited you.
  • Declined: the owner declined your request.
  • You declined: you declined the owner's invite.
  • Open to all coaches: an open venue you haven't added yet.
  • Invite only: a venue you haven't asked yet that needs the owner's approval.

Leaving a Venue​

On On my page, tap Stop teaching here (or Remove from my page for an open venue) and confirm.

Players can no longer add you to new bookings there. Sessions already booked stay booked. To come back to an invite-only venue, you'll need to ask again.

How Players Book You​

Players find you in the player app under Book now → Coaches, then open your page.

Booking step 1: At a partner facility or My own venue
Booking a session

Your page shows Where (your name) coaches and a Weekly availability grid for the next 7 days. Players tap Book session and choose:

  • At a partner facility: they book you and a space at one of your venues together, at times when both are free.
  • My own venue: they bring their own ground. They pick from your own hours and pay only your fee, plus your nets fee if you offer nets for that sport (they can leave the nets out unless you require them). They pay you at the session, or by card where BookMyCourt has card payments turned on for coaches.

Players booking a space at one of your venues can also add you to that booking, if you teach the sport and are free. At an Open to any coach venue that works even if you haven't added it to your page.

If Players Can't Book You​

Check these in order:

  1. Is your profile live? See Getting Started.
  2. Are your sports set? Venues only offer you for sports on your profile. See Your Coach Profile.
  3. Do your hours cover the time? Check Availability & Time Off, including blocked dates.
  4. Is the venue on your page? At an Invite only venue you need an accepted request or invite.
  5. Has the venue turned coaches off? Then nobody can add a coach there.
